What this is
BoatDeck is an app by Digital Forest srl for keeping the records of a recreational boat. Using it means accepting what is written here.
The intervals are a starting point, not an authority
The maintenance intervals BoatDeck proposes are typical industry figures, and each one says where it came from. They are a convenience so that you do not start from an empty list. The manufacturer's service book for your own engine and your own boat always takes precedence, and every interval in the app can be changed.
The deadlines are not legal advice
The list of documents and deadlines is drawn up by flag and kept as current as we can, but rules change and vary with the waters you are in, the size of the boat and where you live. Entries that have not been reviewed by a person are marked as such in the app. Responsibility for having the right papers on board is yours, and if something matters, check it with your registry or your insurer.
Safety
BoatDeck is not a navigation instrument. It does not provide charts, weather, positions for navigation or collision avoidance, and nothing in it should be used to decide where to steer a boat.
Your data and your account
The records you enter are yours. We look after them as described in the privacy notice, but keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose remains sensible — this is software, and software fails.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Digital Forest srl is not liable for damage arising from use of the app, including missed maintenance or expired documents. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, nor the statutory rights of a consumer.
